Low-income Mothers in Education or Training Programs

The Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation For Low-Income Women and Children will offer 5 grants of up to $2,000 each to low-income mothers who are enrolled in education an/or training programs. Applications will be accepted from May 1, 2009 through July 1, 2009.

Que Llueva Cafe Scholarship for undocumented students

The Chicano Organizaing and Research in Education (CORE) are proud to sponsor the Que Llueva Cafe Scholarship to help undocumented students continue their academic Path. This scholarship is a direct response to the lack of financial assistance available to undocumented students who want to or are attending a college or university in the United States.

Phi Delta Kappa International

Scholarship varies from $1,000-5,000. Student must show interest in pursuing a career within the field of education. Recipients will be chosen based on five criteria: academic standing, the essay, letters of recommendation, school activities, and community activities.

Organic Way to Grow Essay Contest

National Sculpture Society Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to students of figurative, realist, or representational sculpture. You must send a letter of application, two letters of recommendation, 8-10 photographs your work, and proof of financial need.

Migrant Farmworker Scholarships

Various scholarships will be awarded to students who have a recent history of movement for agriculture employment, and who can demonstrate scholastic achievement and financial need. There may be additional requirements for some of these scholarships.

Leonard Pearman Scholarship

This scholarship is open to ethnic students with either junior or senior status. Community college students that will transfer to a univeristy as juniors are also elligible. The scholarship assists an undergraduate Unite Methodist student, who intends on pursuing a career in religion journalism, in their study at an accredited U.S. college or university
