We all know there is a tremendous need for this sort of network, but we have not been able to figure out exactly how to motivate consistent network activity. What do you want this network to do? Host the Summit in 2011?
Submitted by Santiago FG on Mon, 01/11/2010 - 3:24pmThe MN Network of Latinos in Higher Ed would like to start early locating a site for our annual conference, Summit 2011, scheduled for next October. We have put on the Summit at a number of locations over the past 5 years, and we have developed a list of norms, guidelines, and standards that clarify roles and responsibilities and help us all figure out if this is a good fit. We want to make hosting an enjoyable and valuable experience for our host institutions. We would be happy to send you more information if your institution would consider hosting. If you want to attend out next planning meeting, please contact Frank Hernandez at fhernandez01@hamline.edu. Here are our next meetings dates: April 3rd, April 25th, May 15th, and June 5th, 2009.
Please note that our meeting location is at the St. Paul Campus of the Metropolitan State University of Minnesota (700 East Seventh Street) in the library in one of the 3rd floor conference rooms.
