Late Night Library Supervisor

  The University of St. Thomas is accepting applications for a Late Night Library Supervisor at the O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library.
This position provides high-quality access to research services, academic resources, and spaces for students, faculty and staff to do group and individual work. Responsibilities include: providing reference and circulation assistance to patrons during the late night hours of library operation; closing the building; supervising student employees. During many of the hours that the person in this position works, he or she is the only library staff present in the building.

This is a part-time position working 25 hours per week during the Fall and Spring Semester. The schedule is 9:15 PM - 2:00 AM Sunday through Thursday. Preferred: Bachelor's degree, and MLIS degree coursework in process, with a basic reference class completed.
We are looking for candidates with strong customer service skills; ability to work independently with little supervision; attention to detail; proficiency with personal computer applications including e-mail and word processing; experience with library automated systems; and aptitude for learning other support software.
