Network Mini Grant Application

Purpose

The MN Network of Latinos in Higher Education has funds available to award grants that provide funding for educational, political and/or social events organized by current members to support the Network's mission and vision which also promote inter- and intra- group events and gatherings of Network affiliates.

Eligibility

All active members of the organization are welcome to apply for a grant.  Network members may propose a grant-funded activity and should review the application with their sector or regional representative before submitting the application. 

Due Dates

Applications can be submitted at any time and should be e-mailed to Sandra Alcalá (alca0011@umn.edu) at least one month prior to the date of the proposed activity.  All applications will be reviewed by the Executive Board Members of the Network on a rolling basis.  Applicants will be notified within a week of the Executive Board meeting. 

Award Details

The MN Network of Latinos in Higher Education is composed of three sectors: students, faculty and staff, and six regions: metro, SW, SE, central, NW and NE.  Awards up to $300.00 will be granted by sector or region on a first come first serve basis.  The amount awarded will be based on the applicant's cost approximations as well as committee member evaluation.  In order to be eligible, applications must include more than one institution as organizers of the event or significant and intentional  goal of involvement by  two or more institutions to the proposed event.  Size of award may be lower than amount requested.
