Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Scholarship
Seniors and recent graduates who meet all of the criteria listed below are invited to submit an application for the 2008 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Scholarships. These nationally competitive scholarships provide up to $50,000 per year for up to 6 years of graduate or professional school. Approximately 40 scholarships will be awarded nationwide in 2008. Candidates must be nominated by their undergraduate institution to be eligible; the U may nominate up to 2 candidates. Eligibility Criteria for U of M candidates: --senior or recent graduate of any undergraduate college at the U of M-Twin Cities --expect to begin graduate or professional school in Fall 2008 --have not yet begun graduate study of any kind --GPA of 3.5 or higher --financial need (determined according to the Cooke Foundation's formula, which factors in parental income and assets even when the student is independent) --Citizen of any country, including the U.S. Additional selection criteria include outstanding academic achievement, will to succeed, leadership, public service, and participation in or strong appreciation for the arts and humanities.
