Program Manager I
The University of St. Thomas, School of Education, seeks a Program Manager I for the Continuing Education Program. This position possesses broad decision-making authority with regard to the operation of the continuing education program. Authority is limited to administrative aspects and does not extend to academic aspects of programs
Responsibilities include: manage students, partners, departmental staff and instructors who are taking or offering continuing education credits in the School of Education; collaborate with individuals, organizations and other states to promote and provide our services; develop and maintain systems related to the marketing of continuing education courses and systems related to the collection and organization of instructor and student records and assessment tracking; serve as primary contact for all continuing education program communications. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and four years administrative experience in an educational setting; Master's degree and experience and understanding of higher ed and K-12 institutions including familiarity with K-12 curriculum preferred; experience with managing and organizing projects with high degree of detail; strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to self-start and self-manage tasks; strong problem solving skills; decisive, collaborative leadership skills including time-management skills; ability to prioritize; ability to deal with difficult people; proficiency in Microsoft Office, Access and FileMaker Pro; experience with Banner a plus.
