JOB DUTIES:
1. Interview job applicants to gather and evaluate their skills, education and training so that their qualifications for appropriate referrals can be determined.
2. Provide placement services for job seekers so that their economic needs and goals can be met.
3. Provide special assistance and language interpretation services to Spanish speaking customers regarding job search and unemployment insurance.
4. Provide specialized assistance to job seekers with special needs such as older workers, veterans, persons with disabilities and economically disadvantaged customers.
5. Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with employers in order to promote maximum usage of the WorkForce Center.
Minimum Qualifications: Professional and/or para-professional experience in career placement, vocational counseling, job placement or similiar functions such
as human resources, social services, business management, marketing, adult education, or employee training. Must be fluent in writing, speaking and reading English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is strongly desired. Selection Process: The selection process is a resume-based, skill-matching process. Your resume will be entered into a database.
