MN Latinos in Higher Education

Attached are some of the materials we are developing for the new institutional membership process. These include:

The initial process chart for the new process-visual of the process of switching from individual to institutional membership)

An interest letter--(to people in schools to tell them about the network)

An Activate your membership letter (for people in schools that have become members)

Welcome letter, and (for people in  member schools who activated their membership--this will be automatically sent to them)

The actual joining process-changes which will be made to the website under the new system.

Please take a look at them. We will review them at the board meeting on Sat. March 14th

The next Board meeting will be at Metro State in the Library, room 321. Full board from 11-1 pm and Executive Committee from 10-11. As usual, we will be having the option for phone and web conferencing for those not attending in person.

As we agreed upon at our April meeting, we will have a meeting in June, not have one in July, and then return in August. Those working on membership, communication and the conference /summit will be continuing work throughout the summer and are looking for support from all board members.

The next board meeting will be at the University of MN Duluth campus in the Kirby Student Center. Exec. Committee from 9-10 and full board from 11-1.

We will also be going to dinner on Friday night. Hope you can joing us. See the calendar listing for full information (name of restaurant and room number for the meeting.)

Hi all-

Here are the minutes  from our recent Steering Committee meeting here in Coffman--assumedly the last one before the conference.  Yikes! 

 Take a look at them, read them over, call if you have any questions and more than anything, please check in with your committee chairs to make sure that we get everything done!  I will be using this site for updates and planning instead of e-mail so please check it regularly.

We are talking about changing  Network to Associationin the name so that we would be:

the MN Association of Latinos in Higher Education.  We will not have to change our website or e-mails with this change.  What do folks think?
